Werribee Mansion Wedding Photography | Justine & Keeden

This is a wedding I’ll never forget. From the moment Keeden called me about photographing their wedding, I knew this couple were special. From the second I sat down with them to discuss their wedding, I felt we were old friends. Lucky for me, they felt the same and booked me!

Their wedding day was honestly one of the most sincere, loving, emotional, at times hysterical, and relaxing day I’ve had the honour of photographing. The day went without a hitch. There was no stress, it was all smiles, and I’m sure the guests who may not have known the extended family well, will agree that by the end of the night, you were considered family.

They are couple to be jealous of.. How they met is so romantic (think secret admirer, love letters – with no creepiness!) a proposal at Keeden’s 30th in front of family & friends.

(And to add to Keeden’s embarrassment the said introduction letter asking Justine out was on display at the wedding!!!)

Every moment of their day had personal touches. Cards to each other, family traditions including gifts, letters and jewellery.    Both were very close to their grandmothers, who sadly could not be present, however this didn’t mean that there were not an important part of the day.  Justine wore a heart shaped token of her grandmother’s wedding gown inside her dress, close to her heart.

The bridal party were so much fun, and watch out for the images of them “shuffling”!

A massive thank-you to Mandy & Alex for your help on the day, you guys rock!

Justine & Keeden – it was a joy to witness the beginning of your new chapter in life together.. All the best for the many years to come xx

Melbourne Wedding Photography | Giovanni & Joanne

Gio married his #1 wife, in front of his #2 wife (the best man) in Las Vegas, Nevada in May of this year.  Yes, I was a tad jealous that my darling brother (the best man) and my sister-in-law (maid of honour) got to go on the trip of a lifetime with their best friends, who are also dear friends of mine!

So on their return from their amazing time in Las Vegas, they had a second wedding with friends and family in Melbourne.  This post is an example of what happens when wedding photography gets personal…  The bridal party pull more faces in front of the camera than smiles, the best man (AKA #2 wife) becomes the waiter, the photographer becomes a florist & an assistant hairdresser (and of course has to appear in the blog post!)..  They dance around thinking I’m not going to take the photo… believe me.  If it happens, I will photograph it;)

The guests got to watch a video of the ceremony in Las Vegas, before tears and hugs filled the room.  Gio brought the house down with his amazing speech.  So much so wife #2 didn’t get a chance to make his, so here it is:)

“The day I married my best friend

The one I laugh with as we share life’s wondrous zest
As we find new enjoyment and experience all the best

You are the one I live for, because the world seems brighter
Our happy times are better and our burdens much lighter

The one I love with all my soul
we used to feel vaguely incomplete

Now we are whole.”
