Part II of Miss T’s Newborn Photography session! Her first post can be seen HERE! Thanks for your patience Mum & Dad!

I was so eager to meet this little girl! I’ve never photographed a baby with quite such thick, strawberry blond hair before! I think I told Mum that I couldn’t get over her hair about a hundred times!
I hope you enjoy the preview Mum & Dad!

After Jamie & Katia’s wedding we took off for more “Tiki” tours. From Auckland we drove to Lake Taupo to visit Carleen & Steve. In all my sunset chancing I realised that I didn’t actually take any happy snaps of us all together! Firstly these are from Lake Taupo, which is a crater left from an explosion from aroun 196AD. The explosion (not the smoke but the actual explosion) was seen in Japan! The Lake is so deep you could fit Mt Everest in there, with room left over. It’s cold (except at the parts where the thermal parts make the water boil, and steam come up from the water and/or sand!

In the distance are the mountain ranges along the desert road, Tongariro National Park, which we drove down to view closer on day 5. These are active volcanos, and regularly close the snow fields due to eruptions. (is that not crazy!??! And yet people get upset that they have to get off the mountain. If I was there and heard the mountain I was skiing on was about to erupt, you better believe I would be OUT OF THERE quick!)

As you can see, STEAM. That water outlet was so warm, I could feel the heat from the sand under my feet, even with shoes on.

The National Parks second highest mountain at 2,287m, Mt Ngauruhoe. Also known as “Mt Doom” from the Lord of the Rings movies.

Tongariro National Park in the distance, with all 3 large mountain peaks slightly visible. The funny thing is, that from most angles, ‘Mt Doom’ looks taller than Mt Ruapahu, which is a good 500m higher.

Huka Falls, is a small stretch of water which is ANGRY! You would not want to be in that water. It’s force is incredible, and from what I can remember, this 100 odd metre stretch off water is responsible for 1/3 of New Zealand’s hydro power, equaling around 5% of New Zealand’s over all power.

So after approx 1200 km of driving, 2 planes, a wedding, champagne, vodka, friends, family and lot of scenery later, we concluded our whirlwind New Zealand trip. And three days later I was in Sydney! 2011 is going to be a busy year, with so many exciting events to come. We’re not even past January and I’m tired already! But with a big smile on my face![]()
My water baby. He LOVES the water. While we do protest on occasions about getting in, he never wants to get out!!

After flying back from my whirlwind Sydney trip, the boys got to stay up late, and started cuddling and giggling like crazy! Of course the camera had to join in too!

This gorgeous little guy had the cutest yawn (captured below) but that’s not the biggest one. He yawned so much at one stage that honestly it took his whole little tiny body to get it out! I’ve never seen such a big yarn! Thankfully it wasn’t too contagious or I might have curled up on the floor and had a nap!
Lovely to meet you both Mum & Dad, I hope you love the preview, your gallery is not far away!

Little miss H was such a cutie, stubborn – with this cheeky grin that said “I know you want me to sleep {yawn} but it’s way more fun being awake, I’m getting lots of {yawn} attention, and lots of cuddles, why would I {yawn} drift off to sleep?!” But that she did after not much time at all. She had the sweetest pout I’ve seen, and I cannot go one without congratulating dad on his taking it all in his stride when little Miss, umm… (well, you know… you do tempt fate with no nappy on) – not once, not twice, but three times! I think you’ve safely coped it all within that 10 minutes!
Was lovely seeing you both again, I hope you enjoy the preview!

This little guy was a total cutie! A tiny bit stubborn, he was a big fan of sleeping with his hands by his cheek, and wasn’t overly impressed with the idea of of anything else, however with a little sweet talking, he happily obliged
However very peaceful and I barely heard a peep out of him. Obviously a big fan of his big brother, was very happy to be nursed by him!
Was lovely to meet you Mum & Dad, I hope you enjoy the preview, your gallery is moments away!

A few weeks ago, a photographer friend of mine Chrissy Torney asked if I would mentor her in some new newborn skills. With Chrissy predominately a children’s lifestyle photographer, and myself a newborn photographer – it was a lot of fun combining both our styles as we photographed this GORGEOUS little boy in his own home.
Chrissy, I hope you had a lot of fun, I sure did!! Sorry it’s taken a while to get this post up!

Mr M, Oh my. He made me melt! So tiny (although a perfect weight!) he loves his cuddles and knowing someone is close by.
Thanks for visiting Mum & Dad, it was lovely to meet you, and I can’t wait to show off Mr. M’s gallery!

This is a quick preview… yes a quick one! I had a absolute ball today when one of my dearest friends visited, with her gorgeous sister and her gorgeous neice to be photographed. I wont babble on too much now, but lets just say I got a lot of gorgeous shots of this total sweety, and will have many, MANY more to show off on the blog!
Congrats Trish (and very proud aunty Krissy!), she is just DIVINE!!! Miss Smiley!

This was such an exciting day.. I got a parcel from the awesome Amanda. Two gorgeous hats for photography!! So we obviously put them straight on his head and oooo’ed and ahhhh’ed at how gorgeous he looked. Then it was time for the daily photo shoot. RIGHT.
Well today we weren’t OVERLY settled. And when I say this, he barely cries. But we just were not overly keen on SLEEPING. Of course he still “rocked it” as a model, even if it wasn’t exactly what we had in mind… BTW – you can see/buy Amanda’s hats HERE

Baby Finn at 5 days. First full day home from hospital. I think he practised for the camera in the womb![]()
