Werribee Mansion Wedding Photography | Sarah & Jay

Jay and Sarah met on a crisp autumn evening in 2010 at a dinner organised by Jay’s now sister in law Jillian and his brother Jay Vern.  During the night the romanced blossomed and Jay sneakily persuaded Sarah to give him her contact details, claiming that he wanted her input for an upcoming best man’s speech that he was giving at Jillian and Jay’s Vern’s wedding.  He asked her on a date the next day and the rest is history!

Three years later Jay surprised Sarah with a trip to Hamilton Island.  On the first evening they went for a walk along Catseye beach where Sarah found a half buried ‘message in a bottle’.  As she started reading the message which was from Jay, he dropped to one knee and proposed.  The romance followed with a private dinner on the beach.

It’s no surprise that their wedding day was classic, romantic and beautiful.  With the gorgeous Werribee Mansion as a stunning backdrop, fitting their day beautifully.  The sacred Chinese Tea Ceremony symbolised respect to older generations and acceptance into the family.  The tempo changed as celebrations spilled on into the Grand Ballroom.  Up until then, everything had gone totally to plan, when suddenly the DJ stopped the music to inform us we had to evacuate outside due to the fire department investigating.  Thankfully there was no fire (rather the use of a smoke machine elsewhere!), and the party continued!  Sarah & Jay are now settling into their new life in Trinidad where they have been re-located with work.

Congratulations Sarah & Jay, such a wonderful to be a part of!  xx

(excuse the Iphone image, we gathered all the important items such as memory cards / laptops, anything with wedding images on it, rather than the cameras! You just never know when there’s evacuations!)

thePROJECT 2013 – Day Eighteen

My ‘old man’s’ time to grace the blog.  He’s not a “cat”, at least don’t tell him he is, he thinks he’s a dog.  And a guard dog.  He’s big and tough.

He’s a sweetheart too.  Meet Sebastian AKA Sebbie.

thePROJECT 2013 – Day Seventeen

For something SLIGHTLY different, (which actually feels rather strange posting this on a blog which is normally newborn babies)  we have snakes.  Yes snakes.  And lizards, AND a crocodile.  The boys attended some dear friends birthday party with a mobile reptile farm.  So really, how could I not post images with snakes for thePROJECT.  But out of tradition, I’m posting a few, because, well, reptiles make for exciting images do they not!??

(The birthday boys!  Happy Birthday guys!  Best children’s party ever! x)

thePROJECT 2013 – Day Sixteen

One day I will learn that when doing a ‘photo a day’ project to ALWAYS carry the camera.  One day.  But not today.  Off we went on a walk to pre-school, where everyday we pass the fire station.  Today, the doors were open (in preparation to head out to help on a few pesky fires no doubt) when Ash noticed a fireman at the front of one of the trucks.  He waved to Ash (who was in awe) and Ash yelled out “what are you doing to the firetruck!?”  So Rob, the very nice fireman invited him over to have a look at the trucks!  Then offered for him to sit in one!

(now what four and a half year old would say no!?)  Once up there he got a little scared (they are very high!)  But out came the trusty iPhone, and here we are.  A fireman for 5 minutes:D

Note to self: TAKE THE CAMERA WITH YOU!! (Even if I am rather impressed with this iPhone image!)
