I have been waiting very very very patiently for this little guy to be born.. Mum booked her session at the same time as this little guy’s cousin was born, and both boys were such a delight to photograph!
He didn’t stop smiling during our session (more often when we were pausing to admire how gorgeous he was!!) but did get quite a few HUGE smiles caught on camera!
I hope you enjoy the preview Mum & Dad, I can’t wait to show you your gallery – it’s coming soon!

Met this gorgeous family at the Royal Children’s Hospital today through the ACOCP. Mr. T is 7 weeks old. We were lucky enough to venture out of NICU and even out into the garden! Which I think was Mr. T’s second time outside!
It was a pleasure to spend the morning with you Mum & Dad, I hope you enjoy the images xx

This gorgeous boy was just 2 weeks old at his session. Without a fuss he went off to sleep and pretty much stayed that way for the whole time! The weather turned a little dark on us at one stage and could quite wet and windy outside!
Was lovely to meet you all, I hope you enjoy the preview Mum & Dad!

A good thing about being unwell, I’m at home more, and able to get some training in…. Must keep baby happy in front of camera…. Must not let him be like his old brother and run away from the camera screaming…

Even if I do ruin nice photos with forgetting to clean his running nose…. oops!
This little girl was such a doll! I could have kept her! We had to change our initial booking, but I think that may have been a good thing, because she performed for the camera beautifully! Although she did like to poke her tongue out at me.. not sure if she was trying to tell me something, or was being cute.. hehe! I was quite excited as I’d been unwell I’d entertained myself with some knitting, trying to modify patterns to suit slightly older babies than newborns, so Miss B was my little model.
The below hat is a slightly modified pattern (i.e I mis-calculated how much yarn I would need) from Amanda Keeys’ book available HERE

Boy Miss R was fun to photography! She definitely kept me on my toes and was a ball of cheeky energy!
I first photographed her big sister at this age, and then Miss R at 12 days old, well she had certainly grown in between visits! I struggled to put this preview together as I loved so many images!
Thanks for your patience Mum & Dad, I hope you enjoy your preview!!

A few of my youngest, because he is THE most gorgeous baby boy ever
(just not at 5am, but I didn’t tell you that! shhhhh!)

Miss R surprised her parents, as they were quite certain that she was a boy! Having a bit of a drive from just outside Melbourne, Miss R was quite keen to stay awake and look at her surroundings, and not too keen to have a sleep, however after a while, she drifted off to get some beautiful images of her and with her VERY proud parents!
I hope you enjoy the preview Mum & Dad!

Walking into my clients house for this session was an absolute treat! Not only did I get to see Miss E’s older brother, who I photographed at the same age about 2 years ago, but the furniture! I’m a tad partial to vintage style fabrics and furnishings.. as you can see in the accompanying images! Miss E was a joy to photograph, put on a show of various facial expressions and poses for me!
I hope you enjoy the preview Mum & Dad!

Well, it has happened. My baby just turned 1! Not quite sure where a year has gone, it feels like yesterday that I came home from hospital with our new baby boy.
It came to our attention when I was still pregnant, that the name we were pretty set with happened to be the brand of my husbands guitar amp. So at 10 days old I placed Ashton on top of the amp. And then at 3 months old I did again, and every month later on the 19th, on the amp when the baby. Even on a “bad day” such as teething, colds. I saw it as a document the time! So in some of the photos he’s not looking very happy with me! So much so in one, we had to put him in a box on top! So thank-you to all my “spotters” over the last year, I know it was always a scary 5-10 minutes..
Also, following a new trend, we got a cake and “ate” it… Trash The Cake… so to speak! So there was a bit of a clean up, and a BIG drink of water later, but boy… did BOTH of my children enjoy that!
So without further delay, here are some photos taken to celebrate my son’s first birthday. And a small collage of the collected AMP shots from over the last 12 months.

Just a small post to say Happy Mothers Day to all my mummy blog readers! I hope you were all spoilt and made a fuss of!
I was lucky to have a sleep in, woken gently to a coffee in bed! Unfortunately my 3 year old woke up a sick with tonsillitis which canceled our plans to visit my mother & grandmother, so hopefully we can meet up very very soon.
I did however head out to photograph a gorgeous newborn baby boy, and his sneak preview will be coming in a few days time![]()
In the meantime, here’s a slightly different image to grace the blog! Enjoy your evening, I will – I’m watching a girly movie with my lovely neighbour! xx

This little guy was the sweetest little newborn subject! After his mid morning meal, he quickly drifted off into a deep sleep and didn’t really wake properly when our session was done! Not only was he a dream to photograph, I think my blankets came home without a single soiling! Now THAT is unusual!! (haha)
I hope you enjoy the preview Mum & Dad!

This is the 5th time I have photographed this gorgeous family! On a not so pleasant day (weather wise) we had to quickly book in this session as Mr L already has some of his teeth at 5 months!
I hope you enjoy the preview Mum & Dad!

As many of my clients & blog readers know I’m a proud member of the ACOCP. We are currently holding a fundraiser to raise much needed funds to keep the organization providing this wonderful service to families around Australia.
For those who are not familiar with the ACOCP:
(from website) “The Australian Community Of Child Photographers (formerly The Australian Charity of Child Photographers) is a volunteer organisation of child photographers from all over Australia who have come together to form an organisation dedicated to giving the gift of photographic memories to families that have experienced stillbirths, premature and ill infants and children in the Neonatal Intensive Care Units of their local hospitals, as well as children with serious and terminal illnesses.”
What’s involved:
The sessions are available as gift vouchers to celebrate Mothers Day. Vouchers may be purchased as gifts or for your own family.
Mini Sessions will last 15-20 minutes, and include approx 10-20 images in an online gallery. Your sessions also includes a Free 6×8” print, chosen by photographer, and 5% off standard pricelist.
There are two types of sessions available:
- Studio session & on-location at a park in Carlton. All sessions will be held on the 16th May, 2009, with a waiting list for the next available day (likely to be late May, early June)
- There are approx 10-15 gift vouchers available, and these will be booked quickly so please secure your booking asap!
- Vouchers are not available for newborn or maternity sessions, due to the nature of the time allocated for sessions.
- Sessions are a fantastic way to have family photographs, or individual photographs of the children. No more than 4 people can be included in the session, however if you have a larger family you may purchase two timeslots, and have more images presented in your gallery.
- Mini sessions are fantastic as an addition to a standard session. For example – for family photographs, to photograph an older sibling after a newborn session, or for children who are not lovers of the camera! (For example my eldest son!) 15 minutes isn’t a long time to grab their attention, and have beautiful professional photographs of them as they grow!
- Mini-sessions are great fun and quick!
How it works:
- Pay $50 directly to the ACOCP via paypal (credit card) and book in your time & preference for Point Cook Studio or outdoor location. You will receive a FREE 6×8” print. A 5% discount applies to the standard pricelist for orders from these sessions. You MAY purchase two timeslots if you wish.
- Gift Vouchers for the mother’s day special will be emailed to you to use or give out for mother’s day. Sessions are non-refundable. If weather is against us for the outdoor location, an alternative time will be made available.
- Your images will be presented in an online gallery 1-2 weeks after your session. Orders may be placed during a 1 week ordering period.
To book:
- Please email Gemma via the “contact us” button on the blog, website, email directly, or phone 0423 323 185
Please contact us ASAP to book your session!
Happy Mother’s Day!
