Christmas Mini-Sessions | Baby Photography Melbourne

It’s the end of November which means one big, important, exciting thing.  Christmas is coming!  And although that is exciting for every child (and child at heart) it’s even more exciting with a new baby or baby sibling to share it with!  And of course, we know exactly how that feels in our household!  So to celebrate, we have created a little vintage Christmas wonderland in the studio!  We have an exciting little package to share with our lovely clients, and to extend to new friends as well.  Christmas mini-sessions are a perfect way to see our studio and get a taste for our photography.  We have exciting things up our sleeves for 2016, and can’t wait to share with you!

Our exclusive Christmas Photo Sessions run for approx 20 minutes, and can involve just baby, or all siblings too! Package includes an online gallery of your images, a facebook preview to share with family and friends (we can even make this into a digital Christmas card!) and your favorite FIVE images as full resolution digital downloads.  Of course if you love them all, we have a huge special to have them all*!  Christmas Mini-Sessions are $120. (for up to 3 children, $30 per child after)

Christmas Mini-Sessions will be running during the week, and we have VERY limited places available on Sunday 29th November and Sunday 6th December.  So please get in quick!

If you are after a more natural family portrait session to gift your partner, or grandparents, or even yourself, we are also extending our Spring Special as gift vouchers, AND can be used as outdoor or studio sessions.  This means if you purchase a session before December 31st 2015, you have until December 31st 2016 to use it.  Perfect Christmas present for those with a little one on the way!

So without any further rambling, here’s our first first Christmas session of the year, little miss 9 months!

(And our flyer at the end…!) xx

Krissy & Ivan | Encore St Kilda Wedding Photography Melbourne

I’ve known Krissy for almost 15 years and was so excited when she called to say that Ivan had proposed and would I photograph their wedding!
Krissy & Ivan met at a mutual friend’s 21st birthday party.  They were on a jumping castle.  Yep!  How cool is that!?? They have been together for 10 years, when last Christmas, Ivan asked Krissy to marry him.
Now for most Australian’s (ok mainly Victorian’s) Grand Final weekend is a big one.  Well, it was much bigger for these two lovebirds!  Two ceremony’s and the party of all parties at Encore in St Kilda.  I mentioned on our Facebook page that their wedding weekend was EPIC, and well, it was!
The first civil ceremony was under the amazing ‘Dome’ on Collins St, Melbourne.  Now normally the city can be a little difficult to navigate on a weekend, however not on Grand Final day.  It felt almost like a ghost town!  We went on a little journey around the city for our photos, whilst listening/watching to the grand final on one of the groomsman’s mobiles.  (I was super happy, he was not so much… yes you guessed right, I’m a Hawthorn supporter!)  We completed our adventure back at Encore in St Kilda, where we chilled out to watch the final quarter of the football and relax before the party started.  The reception was a wonderful celebration with photos of their parents and grandparents weddings, and few rounds of Macedonian dancing! Their first dance was AMAZING, and choreographed by Krissy’s sister and head bridesmaid, Trish.

The next morning was the traditional Macedonian Orthodox ceremony, followed by a lunch with close family & friends.
Congratulations Krissy & Ivan, it was a wonderful weekend!  We had a ball with you both x

Project 11/11 – September

A little late posting this month’s installment of Project 11/11, but better late than never!

To see August’s installment of this project please visit HERE:

The project was inspired by El Hogan’s 10/10 project.  The theme for the project is a quote El found:

“The days are so long, but the years are so short”

Tuesday 11th September 2012: We had the usual early start to the day, the boys were playing, Papi sat in his super-dooper chair that is a source of entertainment for the boys. (it has a remote and goes up and down and up and down!)  After breakfast it was time to get ready for school and walk Eman.  Ash & I went to the shops with the idea to get a hot-dog if he was a good boy for the doctors.  He was.  But unfortunately for him we got the call that Papi had to be rushed back to hospital after a few health issues following is knee replacement.  So off we went in a taxi to pick up Papi and get him off to Emergency… We attempted to get Ash his hot-dog at the hospital cafeteria, however the man didn’t understand the concept of a sausage in bread (AKA Bunnings sausage sizzle) and Ash was presented with a toasted sauce sandwich.  Although he did eat it! (ETA:  after a dramatic evening Papi was fine! Ash got an ice-cream at lunchtime to make up for the missing hot-dog and rather odd sandwich!)

We returned home, the light streaming in the kitchen window was glorious so I took a few frames of my beloved flowers and herbs (there is nothing like a lot of green growing in the sunlight!) We chased the poor cats for cuddles and after collecting Eman from school we played outside in the sunshine before our friends “Blayton” and Miss C came for dinner, a footspa and music games.

About Project 11/11

I am guilty of not taking enough images of my children.  I did in the early years, hundreds and hundreds of images.  But soon it was “oh no mummy not a photo”.  And nothing to really document our lives.  Mobile phones have bigger and better cameras now, and everyone is embracing the convenience of having a camera RIGHT THERE, at every moment.  So another use for this project is to capture the everyday on the BIG camera, not just the iphone.  And it also gives a slight insight that is the ‘fun crazy chaos’ of raising two boys and my day as a photographer.

Little Miss M was very lucky, her Aunty flew all the way from America to welcome her to the world!  There is such a wonderful bond between sisters, and it was such an honour to be able to photograph this family together!  Enjoy x
