A little late posting this month’s installment of Project 11/11, but better late than never!

The project was inspired by El Hogan’s 10/10 project.  The theme for the project is a quote El found:

“The days are so long, but the years are so short”

Tuesday 11th September 2012: We had the usual early start to the day, the boys were playing, Papi sat in his super-dooper chair that is a source of entertainment for the boys. (it has a remote and goes up and down and up and down!)  After breakfast it was time to get ready for school and walk Eman.  Ash & I went to the shops with the idea to get a hot-dog if he was a good boy for the doctors.  He was.  But unfortunately for him we got the call that Papi had to be rushed back to hospital after a few health issues following is knee replacement.  So off we went in a taxi to pick up Papi and get him off to Emergency… We attempted to get Ash his hot-dog at the hospital cafeteria, however the man didn’t understand the concept of a sausage in bread (AKA Bunnings sausage sizzle) and Ash was presented with a toasted sauce sandwich.  Although he did eat it! (ETA:  after a dramatic evening Papi was fine! Ash got an ice-cream at lunchtime to make up for the missing hot-dog and rather odd sandwich!)

We returned home, the light streaming in the kitchen window was glorious so I took a few frames of my beloved flowers and herbs (there is nothing like a lot of green growing in the sunlight!) We chased the poor cats for cuddles and after collecting Eman from school we played outside in the sunshine before our friends “Blayton” and Miss C came for dinner, a footspa and music games. 

About Project 11/11

I am guilty of not taking enough images of my children.  I did in the early years, hundreds and hundreds of images.  But soon it was “oh no mummy not a photo”.  And nothing to really document our lives.  Mobile phones have bigger and better cameras now, and everyone is embracing the convenience of having a camera RIGHT THERE, at every moment.  So another use for this project is to capture the everyday on the BIG camera, not just the iphone.  And it also gives a slight insight that is the ‘fun crazy chaos’ of raising two boys and my day as a photographer.
