HAPPY NEW YEAR! To welcome 2014, first meet the gorgeous babies of 2013!
Is it just us or did 2013 fly by!? A very busy year for the studio! We saw many clients returning with their newest additions and many new wonderful families!
In March, I entered the WPPI (Wedding and Portrait Photographers International) 16×20 Photography Competition for the first time, receiving two Silver with Distinctions and a GOLD! At the AIPP APPA awards, receiving a Silver with Distinction. At the Awards night received Associateship with the AIPP, and later in 2013 received Associates Honour with the WPPI.
2013 also saw Alex officially joining Iris Creations as a photographer on weddings, and soon will be expanding our wedding packages to include Videography! So stay tuned! Now it’s his turn to start the awards circuit, and plans to get his Associates with the AIPP quicker than me.
And here we are in January, and already this year is flying by! A few announcements to start the year..
in 2014 Iris Creations will be officially operating on PART TIME hours. The office and studio will be open and available Wednesday & Fridays and selected weekends for sessions. Therefore it is advised to book sessions as soon as possible! Pricing for 2014/2015 Wedding Packages is available, and can be downloaded HERE.
Well folks, I’ve changed the way I do my personal project AGAIN. Project 11/11 seemed like an awesome idea, capturing the everyday, one day a month. However choosing a specific day didn’t really work if I didn’t have the boys with me that day! I will admit the ‘Photo-a-day” over summer, (AKA thePROJECT) is also hard for the same reason. SO. NOW I will do a monthly post of images
This is also coming when I have decided that it’s my goal to take some time out each week to FINALLY sort images of my OWN children. I have the most fantastic storage system for my beautiful clients. But if I wanted to find an image of Eman at age 4, I would be struggling via folders upon folders upon folders. At least until earlier this year. So they will FINALLY be sorted, and I can FINALLY produce my own photo albums! (7 years late, but hey, good things take time right??!)
So Welcome! This is our October. I did of course choose to do this half way into the month, so there’s not the ‘essential’ images I have decided will be included, and I will be trying to add images of the fur-babies too, cause after all they are part of the family too! Hope your October was full of fun and happy memoriesx
