Miss R, 15 days – Baby Photography Melbourne

Yes, little itty bitty baby Ruby :)   This time, at 15 days old.  She is just such a doll I can’t help but share more of her!

It’s been a lot of fun taking photos of her every two weeks, and yes there are more to come :)

Had a wonderful, inspiring weekend attending a workshop with US photographer Kelley Ryden this weekend.  Talk about cuteness overload, we photographed the most adorable newborns, and even a challenge with 3 weeks older!  There will be lots of images coming soon from the weekend.  My dear friend Amanda Keeys (who took the beautiful image of me with my son Ashton above) came to stay for the weekend with her 10 week old daughter Zoe and husband Matt.  My regular blog readers may remember miss Zoe from my post here.  I tell you it’s hard to not want another baby after a weekend like that (no that does not mean any new additions coming soon!!)

Well, onto some images of Miss Ruby :)

Miss Z, 38 hours – Newborn Photography, err.. Sydney!

Well I am back from my trip to Sydney, it was a LONG week and I had an absolute blast!  But will get into the details later, but wanted to share some images of a teeny tiny only 38 hours old Zoe.  My close friend Amanda Keeys conveniently had her baby (number 5!!) while I was there and I think I might have been the first to photograph her with a camera not a phone… how lucky am I!?!?

so.. what this space, well actually, perhaps watch her mummy’s space, cause this little girl is going to be well photographed! (and hopefully by me again one day soon!)

Congrats guys, she is just GORGEOUS!  and it was great to see you all while I was there! xxx

On a quick note, I am away from the office for the next week, however will have limited access to voicemail and email.

I will be in touch as SOON as I possibly can whilst away, and will be back in the office Tuesday 30th June.

Miss G – 6 Months

Ok this little girl is seriously the most gorgeous thing ever.  I’m a wee bit biased – she’s actually my son’s ‘girlfriend’!  Haha..

The two of them have lots of fun together, and squeel with delight at the sight of each other, it’s just so cute.

Sorry for the long delay in me showing you these Mum, but I hope you enjoy! xx

National Guard – Melbourne Music Photography

This weekend just gone saw me meeting up with my good friend Ben to watch his band National Guard play a small intimate ‘Boutique’ gig in Bruswick, Melbourne.  And of course, to any photographers dismay, there was NO stage lighting, which created a lovely atmosphere, just not for the camera!

So excuse the quality of these image, I am promised next time the lights will be brighter ;)

Featured Session – Miss S, 7 days – Melbourne Newborn Photography

Ok, get ready for a largish post!  Miss S’s sessions has been in the planning stages for A WHILE.  Mum is a photographer friend of both myself and Janet, and I think asked us to be ready for a newborn session before she mentioned that she was pregnant!  (I already have ideas for more sessions – so Miss S better be ready – lol)

Miss S was the perfect model, slept for the entire time, and with two photographers prodding and posing her, she obviously knew it wouldn’t stop until we were done!  Both Mum & Dad were champions, and I have to say, I could have easily posted the whole session into a preview!

I hope you enjoy the preview guys – I can’t wait to show you the rest! (Can we come over again soon?!)

Australia’s Top Photographer Awards

I found out yesterday that I have been nominated for the Australia’s Top Photographer Awards!  A big thankyou to my photography industry peers who nominated me this year!

It’s always exciting to see who comes up on top, as there are so many brilliant photographers in Australia.  I’m very excited and thankful to be nominated for the first time…. good luck to those in the running.

32 weeks

Thankfully it was a little bit cooler for this mum-to-be than the previous few Maternity sessions!  And hopefully that is the end of the seriously HOT weather.

THis baby is due in about 7 weeks now, cannot wait to meet him or her!

Hope you enjoy the preview mum & dad (to be!)

Victorian Bushfires

Just a quick post.  Just want to send my thoughts to all the families suffering and still fighting the effects of the hottest day on record, together with the gale force winds that has led to the worst bushfires in Victorian history.  The numbers of victims keep rising every hour, and I’m sure everyone has been touched in some way by the devastation.

Hoping all my clients and their families are safe.

ETA:  Together with photographers around Melbourne & Victoria, we are putting together a collective to offer free family portrait sessions to the families who have lost everything in the bush fires.  If you are a photographer who is interested, please contact me using the contact form here on the blog or on my website.
