Mr O, 14 months – Melbourne Baby Photography

My session was Mr O, was a special 1st birthday present from a close friend.  We did have to postpone initially as little man was a little unwell, but once we did meet, we had a blast!  He was all smiles and giggles, and very very ticklish!

We ventured outdoors for some fun at the park, which was a highlight for the little guy!

I hope you enjoy the preview Mum & Dad!

thePROJECT & Sydney Trip Pt II

Eeek, done it again, terribly behind on the project.  So, I was away for 5 days, however where I was there were 5 GORGEOUS children, all happy to help me out with thePROJECT.  So instead of making it about seeing the Iphone clearly, it was about these gorgeous Keeys children.  BUT, my children are STILL in the images, just not that clearly!!

Sydney trip Pt I

Well I recently dashed off to Sydney.  It was HUMID (by the way you will see me write this SEVERAL times… just for the heads up!)  The main reason I was there was to give the lovely Amanda a hand photographing her brothers wedding.  Not sure why she needed help, but hey, I wasn’t going to say no ;)  I mean honestly, who needs help when it’s a) your brothers wedding, b) you have a 7 month old baby, c) the older 4 children there as well?  I think she just wanted me there for my lovely company :P

Ok enough joking aside… and we’ll get to the wedding images later, but for now, day one of the trip.  After enjoy a lengthy sleep in (very much deserved since it was SUCH a long trip on a plane – a whole hour and I was lucky to be feeling important in seat 1A hehe) we ventured to the shops (in the humidity) to buy some last minute wedding supplies then convinced young Lilly to help us out for some photos, OUTSIDE of the air conditioned comfort … yep it was HUMID.   Well as her mother says, point a camera at Lilly and then she’s done.  No prize winning photography here by me, but aren’t they CUTE!?

Ok can you tell what she’s thinking?

“ARE YOU QUITE FINISHED?”  ah yes, the pressure that comes from being a photographers child….

collage 4Told you I was going to complain about the humidity.  Did you know it was apparently more humid that Friday in Sydney than in North Queensland?  Well it was :P  So I have the right to complain! hehe

till next Sydney installment xx

thePROJECT – Melbourne Child Photography

Feb 2nd – Eman’s Kinder orientation, he met his new friend Mr. L.  Look out, I think these two might be trouble!!  After Kinder, we took the boys for icecream, and they RAN around the shops like tornados!  When we TRIED to go shoe shopping, Eman took a liking to the display, where he BURNED his finger on the light.  Massive blister!

Feb 3 – Eman was meant to go with his brother to Daycare, however he DID NOT WANT TO GO.  So instead he spent most of the day in his room.  After a much needed nap, we took some “photobooth” style photos..  the MANY faces of Eman…

Feb 3Feb 4th – Was his OFFICIAL first day of Kinder.  He and Mr. L, ran up to each other and had a massive hug (so cute)..  And off he went.  I took these just before we left the house.

As the project is all black & white photos, I took this, however HAD to show a colour one of his “uniform”.

A day in the Garden – Melbourne Family Photography

Today I was preparing an Album for a client, and realised that in the craziness that was the end of last year, this session never graced the blog!  Well I’m fixing that situation right now!

This GORGEOUS family’s session was postponed a few times, due to little ones being unwell, then Mother Nature deciding it wasn’t the right time, but I think the wait was worth it as the weather on the day was just amazing!

Enjoy!

Second last post from January!  Second last, because the 31st January’s image deserves it’s own post ;)

I decided to try doing a more ’studio’ shot of Ash, well he was more interested in getting OUT of the prop!

JAN 23

Today, Aunty Val left to go home to the UK.  It was wonderful to spend time with her at the beach house, and also Tasmania.. you will be very missed!

JAN 24

Coffee Date at Gloria Jeans.  (Jan 25th is also Uncle Richie’s birthday, so Happy Birthday!!)

jan25a

Australia Day, we had a BBQ at Janet & Michaels, and Ash had a sleep (after a long protest)

Jan26

At the park with lollypops!

Jan27

Someone happy to pose for an photo, while having a ‘rest’ on the couch!

Jan28

Another tired boy!

Jan29

It was a hot day, we had a session in the studio that morning so it was still set up.  As the cool change slowly came in we all hung out there, cooling off!

Jan30

Stay tuned, the last image of the month is coming up!

thePROJECT – Melbourne Baby Photography

I want to post all the images at once, but that might be a little much, so here’s a few more.  The weather has been interesting in Melbourne, one day nice, the other HOT, the next COLD.

I arrived home from Tasmania, we spent 36 hours at home, and then off for a roadtrip with Janet & Bec to Koriot to visit some friends.  Ash gets carsick, :( but everyone had a lovely time!  We took the kids out for very posh “coffee”, and  Eman and his friend had a ball washing the car…

So I went away in January, to Tasmania.  So how to do thePROJECT!?  Well a clever plan came about!

The plan was that Bec would take a photo and email it to me, to which I would take a photo of the Iphone.

WELL. I didn’t have reception most of the days, and another you simply couldn’t see the screen on the phone. So yes in these the particular image had to be overlayed, yes… it’s cheating a little bit.

BUT there are my kids, on the right days and I did take the photos on the right days (at least of my phone)

So a big thanks to Bec for helping me out!

The 19th, Ashton was OBSESSED with playing with my suitcase.  Until it fell down, on his foot!  (no nothing was in it, but it was still a little heavy for him!  He was fine!)

Another installment coming very soon.  I’m hoping that I will catch up in the next few days and hopefully keep the days on time soon!

thePROJECT – Melbourne Baby Photography

I KNOW!  I’m horribly, horribly behind.  January is always like that.  I have really, really good excuses!  I’ve been away (as mentioned in previous post) to Tasmania, then 36 hours later went on a little road trip with Janet (which confirmed that yes, Ash does get carsick) and then been playing catch-up around the house… Have I mentioned before that I’ve decided I’m domestically challenged?  Well I think I am.  Either that, or my family can mess up the house quicker than I can clean it.  Or a combination of both!

Ok so instead of writting rubbish, I’ll post some images.  Sorry everyone but there’s only two today, I have to finish off a few from when I was away so they upload as a set, and it’s 12:44am, and I’m really tired!  Not to mention that I have some gorgeous clients to blog!

First up, evidence that Ash might need formal guitar lessons sooner rather than later.  And may have some brilliant stage presence..

JAN 12

And Eman, playing with his friend Arch..  they were “working” as you can see!

JAN 13

Promise I’ll finish up the overdue editing of the rest of January ASAP…. and moreso so I can show off today’s image (31st Jan) because it will blow all these images out of the water!!! Yes, it is that good – if i may say so myself!!

P.s Is it just me or is everyone else scared that it’s already February!?

thePROJECT – Jan 10th

Want a simple yet affective way to get your child to look at the camera?  Let them “make” a cake!
