Project 11/11 – December

“The days are so long, but the years are so short”

Tuesday 11th December 2012:  What a huge day!  After breakfast and the school run Ash and I had a quiet (haha!) day around the house.  Friends popped in for a coffee, and we chased the cat for a cuddle.  After getting upset he couldn’t help me with the cooking, I let Ash de-shell hard boiled eggs, which was a very funny exercise!  After school E started his Christmas cards and we had a play with Papi, Aunty Megs, Uncle Richie and Baby Riley (who’s almost two so I wont be able to call him that anymore!!)  A lazy dinner and a spot of reading, it was time for bed, with Ash falling asleep on the couch!

And because it was December, a few snaps of our Christmas preparations!

About Project 11/11:
I am guilty of not taking enough images of my children.  I did in the early years, hundreds and hundreds of images.  But soon it was “oh no mummy not a photo”.  And nothing to really document our lives.  Mobile phones have bigger and better cameras now, and everyone is embracing the convenience of having a camera RIGHT THERE, at every moment.  So another use for this project is to capture the everyday on the BIG camera, not just the iphone.  And it also gives a slight insight that is the ‘fun crazy chaos’ of raising two boys and my day as a photographer.
