Hi Everyone! I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year! I’m a little bit behind on thePROJECT posting as we spent a beautiful week at Blairgowrie. It was wonderfully relaxing and I didn’t do any of the “photographic adventures” that I had planned, and as my mobile internet didn’t work, haven’t been able to post any of the images that I did take until now.
So I’m going to start with the final week (and a bit) of Month One of thePROJECT’s Summer photo-a-day.
Firstly, Ash sitting under the Christmas tree (which is still up. haha) We don’t decorate the bottom part (and it’s also on a side table) because of Ash’s (and the kitten’s) obsession with pulling off the decorations and playing with them!

On the way to our holiday, a small pit stop. I found the most GORGEOUS spot, pity it’s so far away, I’d LOVE to photograph here more often! and quite seriously it’s on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere!

Christmas Day. We didn’t have a tree there so couldn’t get anything overly Christmasy. However did catch Ash as he was demonstrating what he thinks of the bonbon hat!

Ash LOVED the house. It had a GARDEN. Any of my family and friends would know why. We don’t have one. At least we do.. there is just nothing in it. Landscaping obviously isn’t on the top of our “to-do” list…

My Aunt is visiting from England for a month, and we decided to take her somewhere historical. And for a country with only 200 odd years up our sleeve there really isn’t that much. However Point Nepean National Park certainly kept us very occupied. I have a LOVE and undying NEED to go to Europe to visit everywhere I’d obsessed and studied in my History Major. So running in the fort’s tunnels was a treat for me. Eman got a little “scared” but had a ball. I have more images from our day here which I’ll be sharing soon!

We woke early. So mum (as in me) got up and occupied the boys with Pancakes. What was great about the house we hired for the week was (as I’ve mentioned) the garden. The kids spent HOURS playing and running and exploring. Honestly it was a struggle to keep them going until nap time, as they would get so worn out! This morning I decided the light was oh-sooooo-pretty, so got the camera out. And being that Ash was COVERED in jam from the pancakes meant, he was in the mood for pancakes. OH OF COURSE. but he gave what I consider an awesome “photo session”, that I will have to blog that in it’s own post. My kids are seriously the cutest ever… hehehe

There was this awesome old style rocking horse that Ash was pretty much on the whole last two days. He would sing “weeeee-ooooooo-weeeeeeee-ooooooo” over and over and over again. I think I’ll be bring out of careful storage the rocking horse my brother and I got from santa nearly 23 years ago. I think Natty will get a good reception! (AND will make for some very cute photos!)

And in every project such as this. There are days when it’s too hot to pick up the camera. Therefore we have this SNAPSHOT. Ash eating ice-cream by himself on a Thomas the tank engine playmat. Yes he needed a bath afterwards.

I think Ash’s training in front of the camera is going well. He picked up his brothers hat and started modelling. As you may see in the above photo, he’s in a disposable nappy… usually he wears modern cloth nappies, which you can see below. (but being away from home meant it was easier to use the good old easy option… Have to say the cloth nappies make for easy clothing options in summer. My washing loads are so much easier as he’s basically happy running around in just his nappy, and no one is the wiser, cause they look so good!!

So now it brings us to January. It’s a bit of a tradition for a lot of photographers to do a January-photo-a-day project. I did start mine early this year… and hoping to keep going just as strong!! I’m also hoping to post more often now… although of course I’m already two days behind for January’s posting… I have the images, it’s just a case of them getting to the blog! Which will be our next installment!
PHEWWW! that’s a long post!
till next time!! xx
