Mr Z, 2 weeks (well -3 weeks!)

Ready for a LARGE preview?

This GORGEOUS little boy surprised his parents 5 weeks early only two weeks ago!  I believe mum was at work and Dad wasn’t even in Australia at the time!

He was just divine and barring a few little whimpers to let us know he was hungry, slept the whole time and barely noticed he was being the perfect newborn model.  And although he has been photographed here with dad’s Hawthorn scart, whether he is a Hawks supporter or a Carlton (or Bulldogs) fan remains an ongoing battle between mum & dad!

Australia’s Top Photographer Awards

I found out yesterday that I have been nominated for the Australia’s Top Photographer Awards!  A big thankyou to my photography industry peers who nominated me this year!

It’s always exciting to see who comes up on top, as there are so many brilliant photographers in Australia.  I’m very excited and thankful to be nominated for the first time…. good luck to those in the running.

Miss B, 5 weeks

This gorgeous baby was almost 5 weeks at the time of our session, and wasn’t keen on the idea of sleeping, but did finally drift off thanks to lots of cuddles with mummy & daddy.  She enjoyed being wrapped, not a fan of showing off lots of skin (which I’m sure mum & dad will be happy with in a few years time!!)

Miss C, 4 months

I first met this family back when big brother was 4 months, now 2 1/2, meet his little sister!

It’s funny (and I’m sure I’ve said this before) but when I photograph a family a family a 2nd or 3rd time (or even more!)  I always walk in expecting to see the children to be the same age/size as last time.. well Mr E is very much the little man!

Mum kept telling me how serious Miss C is, however she was extremely cute (and whilst very serious) had the more gorgeous cheeky smile!

32 weeks

Thankfully it was a little bit cooler for this mum-to-be than the previous few Maternity sessions!  And hopefully that is the end of the seriously HOT weather.

THis baby is due in about 7 weeks now, cannot wait to meet him or her!

Mr. F – 9 months old

I first met this family when big sister was 9 months old, more than two years ago!  May sound strange, but I always find myself expecting the same baby there, even two years later.  But no, she’s a gorgeous little girl with a baby brother!  The smoke was still thick in the air from the bushfires which was creating some interesting lighting effects!

Mr F is such a cutey, and I’m sure everyone will agree!

Mr Z, 2 weeks

Ok this family are just way too gorgeous!  I photographed Miss-big-sister when she was 9 months old, and what a little beauty she is growing up to be!!  Little Mr here, was a little angel.  Don’t think anyone was too impressed now that the weather had finally cooled down that I was heating up the room a wee bit.. but we made do!! (sorry mum!)

Again, it was extremely hard putting together a preview for this session.  I am totally in love with every image.

Photographers Unite

As many of you know together with MANY photographers around Victoria and the rest of the country, we are coming together to create:

Photographers Unite

A collective of photographers who are donating money/products and also offering free sessions to the victoms of the Victoria Bushfire tragedy.

I will be updating when the new site is live, which will list all photographers & other businesses helping make this joint effort a reality.

Mr E, 3 weeks

I have a wee bit of a soft spot for this family!  I photographed the twins when they were 8 weeks old, and then their first birthday party.  And now, they have a brand new baby brother!

It was the day after a scorching 47.9 degrees, and very overcast, creating some gorgeous natural light.

And on another blistering day!

Noticing a pattern lately?  All maternity sessions have been on days of extreme HEAT!

Well this day certainly takes the cake.  While Melbourne’s temperature soared, this stunning mama-to-be took it all in her stride!  Outside the local temperature registered 47.9 as we were saying farewell.  How we did it, I’m not sure.  We had the cooling on (wasn’t doing much) two fans, and even tried putting ice in front!  The ice did nothing but melt over the floor.  But it was worth a try.

Thankfully it looks the weather is starting to calm down.
